This cycling tour takes you to the Sezibwa waterfalls which are located east of Kampala’s capital, Ssezibwa waterfalls remain a key area of interest for most visitors en route to Jinja or on a tour to Eastern Uganda. It is a beautiful natural wonder, that brings together natural charm and culture. Ssezibwa is one of the treasured cultural heritage sites in the Buganda Kingdom. If you are down for a little more challenging tour but with only one day to spare, then this might be just the thing for you – the ultimate combination of adrenaline, fun, and nature. At 8:00 am, we pick you up from the Beach House Garden in Ggaba, have a mini boat cruise on the lake, and make it to the Buule landing site about 15-20mins later. The Lake Victoria peninsular allows for a moderately challenging cycling experience with stunning views through single-track dirt roads. The routes through the tea farms culminate into the exhilarating Sezibwa Falls, offering a much-needed relaxation break like no other.
Ride through tea farms and enjoy the lovely green scenery.
You will meet your guide at Beach House Gardens by 8 or later in the morning. A brief 20 – 30-minute boat ride will take you across Lake Victoria and also to the Sezibwa waterfalls, setting the stage for our biking adventure. Plan for a ride lasting around 5 to 7 hours, which will depend on your biking expertise and how much energy you have. During our journey, we’ll pause at a local spot where you can try a “Rolex” snack. If you need anything like water, you can also pick it up there. After we’ll ride back to the docking point.
